Colleen J. Kurz

Colleen J. Kurz, age 54, of Potter, died on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. She was born February 16, 1960 in Chilton, daughter of Phyllis (Brueckner) Doxtator and the late Marvin Doxtator. Colleen married Kenneth Kurz on December 1, 1979 at Spencer Methodist Church. She was a member of Faith Alliance Church in Chilton where she was instrumental in the music department and had been working to improve her percussion talents to incorporate into worship services. She was a fantastic listener with a gentle spirit who people went to seeking a listening ear and wise advice. She loved her family and her pets and treasured every moment she could spend with her children and grandchildren. Above all, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and had a deep and unmovable faith, which carried her through many of life’s hills and valleys. Survivors include her husband: Kenneth; her mother: Phyllis, her children: Melissa Kurz Ken (Lisa) Kurz, Jr., Seth Kurz and his fiancée Kelsey Rients; her grandchildren: Hailey & Lily; her siblings: Donna (Richard) Fluegge, Sheryl (Paul) Kobriger, Jack (Kathy) Doxtator, Rick, Joan, Scott & Joel Doxtator; her in-laws: Mike Kurz, Ray (Julie) Kurz, Lorena (Doug) Schnitzler, Corey (Mary) Kurz; and her beloved dog: Zelda. She was preceded in death by her father: Marvin Doxtator; and a niece: Constance Cole. Funeral service will be at 6:00 pm on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Faith Alliance Church (468 N. State St) in Chilton with the Rev. Jim Jensen officiating. Friends may call at the church from 3:00 pm until 5:30 pm on Friday, February 13, 2015.
