Curtis “Fergie” W. Ferguson
Curtis “Fergie” W. Ferguson, 74, of Fond du Lac, went to be with the angels in Heaven on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, peacefully at home with his wife Carol, daughter, Angela, and his cats, Gracie and Blackberry.
He was born on March 4, 1939, in Oshkosh, a son of Silas and Ella Wendt Ferguson. He graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1957 and served with the United States Air Force from June of 1958 to June of 1962.
On June 29, 1968, he married the love of his life and best friend, Carol Roggentine, at St. Louis Catholic Church.
Curtis worked at Mercury Marine for 37 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of many church organizations, the Knights of Columbus, Catholic War Vets, and ministries. Curt enjoyed his grandchildren very much, he also enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing, and camping. He was an avid Packer and Brewer fan.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; a daughter, Angela; a son-in-law, Alex Aguilar; four grandchildren: Juan, Lisa, Jessica, and A. J. Aguilar of Mt. Horeb; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews; his good friend, Wilbur Koenigs; and his special pets, Gracie and Blackberry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Pamela Ferguson Aguilar; a brother, Jerry Ferguson; a sister-in-law, Mary Roggentine; and his father-in-law, Arthur Roggentine, Sr.
A Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2014, at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Agnesian Hospice Hope and Agnesian Home Health Care.
