David L. Posey

David “Byrd” L. Posey, 39, of Fond du Lac, transitioned Friday, February 5, 2021 at Theda Clark Medical Center.  He was born August 4, 1981 in Midnight, MS, the son of David Criss and Delia Posey.  Byrd worked for Harford Finishing, Quality Packaging, and currently for Eden Food Company.  He enjoyed remote control cars, drawing, fixing things like car and small engines, and loved spending time with kids, especially his children.

He is survived by his wife, Kellie O’Laughlin Posey; his children, Elijah, Deanna, Davion, Ireland, Miliyah, Jahara, and Shauntria; his mother, Delia Posey; his siblings, Xavier, Laketia, Renoder (Larry), Sioben, and Markice; nieces and nephews, Cleotha, LaDarrious, Mykel, Dankalia, Daniel, Makayla, DanQuaVious, Mydarrious, Mya, Rain, Bella, Stormy and many other relatives and friends.  He is further survived by his in laws, Chuck and Connie O’Laughlin; sister-in-law, Candie (Pat); and brother-in-law, David (Julie).  He was preceded in death by his father, David Criss; his paternal and maternal grandparents; four uncles, three aunts, and a sister-in-law.

The visitation will be held Friday, February 12, 2021 from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.  A private family service will take place.  Burial will be held in Midnight, MS. Guestbook and tribute wall may be found by visiting ueckerwitt
