Dayelene Whaley

Dayelene Whaley, age 78, of Chilton, died on Monday, October 16, 2023 at Willowdale Health & Rehabilitation Center in New Holstein.  She was born August 14, 1945 in San Diego, California, daughter of the late LeRoy Dale & Vesta Virginia (Shields) Neely.  

Dayelene met James Arnold “Jim” Whaley, Jr. during his time in the United States Navy.  The couple was united in marriage on June 27, 1981 at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Dayelene and Jim eventually found their way to the upper midwest and settled in the Chilton area where they remained to this very day.

Survivors include her husband: Jim; and her children: Anna (Brent) Morvee and Joauna Edwards.  She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Private family services are being planned.
