Deborah Lackas
Deborah Lackas (Goebel), age 58, of Fond du Lac, passed away December 18, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born January 24, 1963, in Fond du Lac, WI, the daughter of Jerome and Jean (nee Grahl) Goebel. Deborah graduated from Campbellsport High School in 1981. Together with Ralph Lackas, Deborah started her family being blessed with four children, Melissa, Joe, Kevin and Scott. Deborah loved to cook and spent many years in food service for the Fond du Lac School District. She later continued to share her love for cooking and serving others through other hospitality opportunities. Deborah loved adventure, the outdoors, the beach, camping, boating, swimming, a good card game and a ride on the back of a motorcycle. Although life threw many challenges at her that tried to knock her down, she always got back up with more strength and faith to face the next day. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart as they gave her reason and purpose to seek each day for all it had to give. Deborah loved fiercely, started each day with a grateful heart and celebrated eight years of sobriety before being welcomed to eternal life.
Deborah leaves behind many loved ones to cherish her memory and embrace her legacy; including her father Jerome (Virginia) Goebel of New Franken; three children, Melissa (Jason) Wilke of Green Bay, Joe (Emily) Lackas of Fond du Lac, and Kevin (Emily) Lackas of Oconomowoc; a brother, Jake (Carolyn Welk) Goebel of Green Bay; a sister, Darla Haas of New Hartford, NY; a step-sister Julie (Doug) Hoppe of Green Bay; a step-brother Jeff Stahl of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Aiden, Ellie, Leo, Owen, Dylan, Abigail, Andrew, Raleigh, Gavin, and MacGuire; her Aunt Linda Baierl and many cousins, nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored greatly.
Deborah was preceded in death by her mother Jean Goebel, her sister Dawn Goebel, and her son, Scott Lackas.
