Dolores E. Borth
Dolores E. Borth, 82 of Fond du Lac passed away on July 24, 2024 at Aurora Medical Center Oshkosh with her loving family by her side. Born on August 26, 1941, in Washington County, to the late Lawrence and Eleanora (nee Foerster) Ketter.
Dolores graduated from Kewaskum High School in 1960. She was employed at Regal Ware for several years prior to her 23-year employment at Amity Leather, West Bend. She finished her working years at Aurora Health Care, Fond du Lac.
Dolores was married to James Hammes from 1964 to 1987. In 1997, Dolores married William “Bill” Borth and they spent their golden years together in Fond Du Lac.
Dolores was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She was a friend to many and cherished her extended family of many nieces and nephews who affectionately called her “LoLo”. She was a kind and thoughtful woman known for her gentle spirit and generous nature. Her love of animals was evident, as she treated her pets as part of the family. Dolores was a spiritual woman, with a strong faith that enabled her to overcome many hardships in her life. She was a wonderful cook and made many family favorites throughout the years. Dolores instilled her love of birthday celebrations into both her daughter’s, she believed in making each birthday a special one. Dolores was definitely a collector of jewelry and “treasures”, and loved a good Hallmark movie. Bill and Dolores enjoyed camping for several years and spent many nights by the campfire with family.
Those left to cherish Dolores’s memory include her children, Amy (Mike) Timblin, Becky (Jeff) Crofts, Steven (Sue) Borth, Jeanna Race, Jim (Cathy) Borth, Karen Baumhardt (Leo Goebel), daughter-in-law, Lori Borth; grandchildren; Michael Timblin (Maddie Schill), Mason Timblin, Morgan Timblin, McCoy Timblin, Kya Crofts, and Abby Crofts, Dan (Amanda) Borth, Kelly (Aaron) Knautz, Katie Borth, Benjamin Race, Michelle (Jason) Salow, Samantha (Julian Rodriguez) Race, Julianna (Jake) Dahlinger, Kelly (Dylan) Wendt, Jeremy Hendrickson, Mia Baumhardt, 14 great-grandchildren; including new addition to the family Wesley Timblin-Rowe. Special family, Sue and Rory Hetzel, Kayla Pierce (Travis Eggeman), and Travis Pierce; Brother-In- Law, Charles Halfmann, as well as many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Dolores is preceded in death by her loving husband William, an infant daughter Laurie Hammes, infant Grandsons Cole and Celton Timblin, two Step-children, David Borth and Katherine Kibbe; Five sister, Regina Ketter, Marie (Gilbert) Gloede, Agnes Dillinger, Martha (Andrew) Polzean, Adeline Halfmann and two brothers Ralph (Barbara)Ketter and Norbert Ketter.

VISITATION: Dolores’s family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday July 30, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Twohig Funeral Home (305 Fond du Lac Avenue, Fond du Lac, WI). A memorial service for Dolores will follow visitation at 6:00 p.m.
Burial will take place July 31 at 11am at St. Matthews Catholic Cemetery, Campbellsport.
