Donald “Don” Albert Stich

It is with heartfelt remembrance that we celebrate the life of Donald “Don” Albert Stich, who passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on December 26, 1936, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Henry and Rosalie Stich, Don lived a life filled with joy, adventure, and love. He dedicated his professional career to the manufacturing industry as an electrician, a vocation that brought him pride and fulfillment. Don served honorably in the U.S. Army and as a volunteer firefighter for the New Berlin Fire Department.

Don married Helen Johnston on August 1, 1959. They enjoyed 55 years together until Helen’s passing in 2014.

Don will be lovingly remembered by his family, including his daughter, Tina (Ron) Pech and son, Philip Stich. His unwavering spirit and zest for life touched the hearts of all who knew him. Don was preceded in death by his son, Peter.

A man of many passions, Don thrived on the water, finding happiness in sailing, camping and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed the serene beauty of Venice, Florida, where he embraced the role of a “snowbird,” delighted by the warm sun during half the year. His adventurous spirit and love for nature enriched the lives of those around him, creating lasting memories for family and friends. We invite all who loved Don to join us in honoring his life. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, 471 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac on Thursday, November 20th at 11:00 AM. A visitation will begin at the church at 9:30 AM until the time of Mass.

A gathering in the church after Mass will bring family and friends together to share stories, laughter, and remembrance as we celebrate Don’s legacy, embracing the light he brought into the world. His spirit will continue to sail on in our hearts. Visit www.zacherlfuneralhome.com to send condolences.
