Doris L. Seefeld
Doris L. (Grahl) Seefeld, 83,
of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Villa
Loretto Nursing Home, Mt. Calvary, due to a brain tumor.
She was born on November 13,
1933, in Hollandtown, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late August and Elnora Schultz
Grahl.
On March 2, 1954, she married
Donald J. Seefeld at Tabor United Brethren Church, Eden. He preceded her in death on October 31, 2014.
Doris had various jobs,
including working at the Eden Canning Company, Fond du Lac School District hot
lunch program, and most recently, before retiring, driving for Nichols
Bus. She enjoyed spending time with her
cousins, playing cards, reading, and was an avid gardener. She loved raising her four children and
spending time with her eight grandchildren and great-grandson.
Doris was a member of Tabor
United Methodist Church. She was past
president, and most recently, vice president of the United Methodist Women.
She is survived by four
children: Wendy (Gary) Mellgren of
Waukesha, Karen (Mark) Holzmann of Mt. Calvary, Sheila (Robert) Roehl of St.
Cloud, and David (Laura) Seefeld of Eden; eight grandchildren: Tom (Jamie) Miller, Dan (Abby) Miller, Rebecca
Holzmann (special friend, Brandon Barrett), Renee (Beej) Kusilek, Tammy Roehl
(special friend, Jake and son, Daylin Wider), Alex, Zach, and Nathan Seefeld; a
great-grandson, August Kusilek; a brother, Augie (Mary) Grahl of Cascade; a
sister-in-law, Joyce Grahl of Plymouth; a brother-in-law, Vernon (Collette)
Seefeld of Campbellsport; former son-in-law, Brian Miller; and nieces, a
nephew, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; her husband, Donald Seefeld; two brothers: Elmer Grahl and Glen
(Lois) Grahl; her father and mother-in-law: Alvin and Helen Seefeld; and a great-grandson,
Junior Miller.
VISITATION: The visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
on Friday, January 6, 2017, at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31
East Division Street, Fond du Lac, and from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Saturday,
January 7, 2017, at Tabor United Methodist Church, N4224 Church Road, Eden.
SERVICE: The funeral service will be held at 10:30
a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Tabor United Methodist Church with Rev.
Young Tae Lee officiating.
Burial will be in Ledgeview
Memorial Park.
Memorials may be directed to Tabor
United Methodist Church memorial fund for parking lot lighting.
The family would like to
extend a heartful appreciation to the Fifth Floor West nursing staff of St.
Agnes Hospital, the Cancer Center, the nurses at Villa Loretto Nursing Home,
and Agnesian Hospice for all the care and patience with mom.
