Duane E. Lemke
Duane E. Lemke, 84, passed away on December 10, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI. He was born August 9, 1940, a son of Stanley and Laura (Ritchie) Lemke.
Duane married Diane Brown on December 7, 1963. He proudly served in the US Army Reserves from 1960 to 1966.
Duane had an established career as an electrician and was a proud member of IBEW Local 494 for 57 years. He was an avid fisherman that enjoyed his fishing trips to Eagle River with his wife, Diane. He loved the outdoors, especially his garden and flowers. In his earlier years he enjoyed painting portraits of wildlife. He was a devote Green Bay Packer fan all of his life, spending many Packer games and events with his grandson, Andy. He always looked forward to being with his family. Duane and Diane recently celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Duane is survived by his wife, Diane; daughter, Lisa (Bill) Melang; grandson, Andy (Carol) Melang; great-granddaughter, Corinna; and soon to be great-grandson, Arthur. He is further survived by his sister, Sharon Hodorff, Sandra (Gary) Meisenburg; brothers, Steve (Kathryn) Lemke and Darrell (Connie) Lemke; and other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Gloria Marschall, Linda Kutchek, and Roberta “Bobbi” Lemke; brother, Tim Lemke; brothers-in-law, Dennis Hodorff and Herbert Marschall.
Per his wishes, there will be no services.
Duane’s family wishes to extend a thank-you to the doctors and staff of Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh for their care and attention during his medical emergency.
Memorials in his name, may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the SSM Hospice Home of Hope.
