The made many new friends through church, school and sports activities in the Oshkosh area, but also kept their friendships strong with family and friends in the Holyland area. In addition to raising her family, Eileen worked for Geer-Murray as a bookkeeper. She remained friends with her co-workers and enjoyed lunches and dinners with this group of ladies.

She was a lifelong Catholic and was very active volunteering for Sacred Heart Parish and School, Lourdes Academy and St. Raphael Parish. She enjoyed playing sheepshead and cribbage with her friends and family while enjoying an old fashion. She loved golfing and her flowers and anything outdoors in the beautiful sunshine. Most of all she treasured time with her dear family and friends.
