Elizabeth R. “Betty” Schilling

Elizabeth R. “Betty” Schilling, age 82, of Chilton, died on May 24, 2023, at Ascension Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was born February 12, 1941, daughter of the late Elmer “Butch” and Adeline Sohrweide.

Betty was a reporter almost all of her adult life, working for newspapers in the area for over 50 years. Betty is survived by her son: Norbert Schilling; siblings: Grace (Marvin) Geiser and Dick (Karen) Sohrweide; nieces and nephews: Scott (Pat) Sohrweide, Sherry (Gary) Maurer, Tim Sohrweide (special friend, Annie Van Oss), Nicole (Chris) Meiers, Andrew Geiser (Scott); and a dog grandchild: Buddy.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Butch and Adeline; and Norbert’s father: LaJune Schilling.
