Eva J. Rusch
Eva J. Rusch, age 87, of Charlestown, died on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Chilton. She was born August 29, 1927 in Sheboygan, daughter of the late Erwin & Eliza (Wangemann) Mohr. While out rollerskating, Eva met Ruben R. Rusch who was also on skates. The couple fell in love, and they were married on November 8, 1947 in Sheboygan. The couple farmed together for many years in the Charlestown area. He preceded her in death on March 8, 2009. She was a member of Ebenezer UCC in Chilton where she played piano, sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and VBS and volunteered time with the Women’s Guild. Eva was also a former long time leader of the Sunset Lake 4H Club and loved traveling with her husband from card club to card club throughout the area. In her free time, Eva enjoyed knitting, doing crossword puzzles, and watching trivia games like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Survivors include her children: Amy (Orvis) Genske of Brillion, James Rusch of Chilton, Steven (Peggy) Rusch of Chilton, Phillip (Stacy) Rusch of Brookfield; 9 grandchildren: Dawn (Mark) Bailey, David (Tonya) Genske, Denise (Scott) Williams, Darla (Todd) Stebane, Corey Rusch, Michelle Rusch, Kristina (Mike) Byrge, Ellery & Isabel Rusch; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; and a sister-in-law: Sarah “Sally” Mohr. Eva is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sisters: Caroline “Kelly” Rodemerk, Marion Wegmann, & Ruth Nehrlich; and her brothers: Melvin, Carl, Frederick “Fritz” Mohr, & Erwin Mohr, Jr. Funeral service will be at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Ebenezer United Church of Christ (44 W. Washington St.) with the Rev. Michael Safford-Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in the Rantoul EUB Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 1:30 pm until 3:45 pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2015.
