Harriet H. Gibbons

Harriet H. Gibbons, 88, of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2023 at the Woodlands Senior Park. She was born January 24, 1935 to Ben and Elona (Brieske) Rouse in Belle Plain, Wisconsin.

After high school, Harriet attended beauty school and became a hair stylist. On July 16, 1955 she married Roger A. Gibbons at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Belle Plain, WI. After marriage she became a homemaker.

Harriet loved attending church. She enjoyed gardening, going for walks, and singing. But most of all, she loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Harriet will be dearly missed by her daughters Barb (Steve) Quick and Kay (Steve) Schabel; three grandchildren, Emily (Seth) Calonder, Jennifer DeHut, and Lucas Schabel; five great-grandchildren, Brinley, Greyson, Rowen Calonder, Owen and Wilder DeHut; one step granddaughter, Stephanie (David) Ama-Quick; and one brother James (Betty) Rouse. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roger; brothers, Lee and Elmer, and sisters, Dorothy and June.

Harriet’s family invites friends and relatives to a time of visitation on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Hope Lutheran Church, 260 Vincent Street, Fond du Lac at 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM. A funeral service will be celebrated following the visitation at 11:00 AM. Entombment will take place at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hope Lutheran Church.
