Heidi S. Rossey (Guth)

Heidi S. Rossey (Guth), 85, of Fond du Lac passed away peacefully on August 7, 2023 at the Hospice Home of Hope. Heidi was born on May 24, 1938 in Lörrach, Germany to Josef and Martha Guth (Kanngiesser) alongside her twin sister, Lotti. She spent many of her childhood days finding adventures and collecting berries and mushrooms in the Black Forest. She told many fascinating stories about her life in Germany. Heidi and her future husband, Delbert, met when she served in a clerical position in the US Army prison at McKee Barracks in Crailsheim, Germany and he worked as a mechanic on the base. They were married on October 19, 1957 in Crailsheim. Heidi proudly became a U.S. citizen on May 8, 1961 in Fond du Lac. She made the best homemade bread and purple cabbage and shared many loaves of bread with her family, friends and neighbors. She had an infectious laugh that could make everyone laugh until they cried. Heidi enjoyed spending time in nature, taking long walks, taking care of house plants, and was an animal lover.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her daughters, Sue (Jim) Groff and Spring (Tony) Singleton; grandson, Christopher (Desiree) Groff, brother, Armin (Sylvia) Guth, and niece, Heidi (Jay) Leupp.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Rossey, sons, Daniel and Timothy Rossey; twin sister, Lotti LeBarron, an uncle, two aunts, and her husband’s parents and brothers.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave Fond du Lac, WI. 54935. The memorial service will begin at 6:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, because of Heidi’s love for animals, donations will be given to local animal rescues.

Heidi’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Hospice Home of Hope for their care and compassion.
