Ida E. Moore
Ida E. Moore, 90, of Fond du
Lac, died Monday, March 9, 2015, at Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac.
She was born on July 8, 1924,
in Marinette, Wisconsin, a daughter of Charles and Albena Hartl Minzlaff. Ida graduated in 1942 from Marinette High
School.
On October 2, 1948, she married
Dr. Lynas G. Moore at Trinity Lutheran Church, Marinette.
Ida did office work at
Lauerman Bros. in Marinette as well as helping out her husband in the office at
his optometric clinic. She enjoyed oil
painting, golfing, and bowling.
She was a member of Zion
Lutheran Church in Peshtigo and a founding member in 1962 of Redeemer Lutheran
Church and Altar Guild in Fond du Lac, singing in both choirs for over 45
years. She sang with the Winnebago
Lutheran Chorale and was a member of Winnebago Lutheran Academy Auxiliary. Ida was a member of the Ladies Society at
Zion Redeemer Lutheran Church and taught Sunday school in Peshtigo. She was a past president and member of the
American Legion Auxiliary for 45 years.
Ida received her nursing assistant certificate from MPTC in June of
1983, and did home health care in Fond du Lac.
She is survived by three
children: Steven L. Moore of Madison, Donna
J. Moore of Fond du Lac, and Paul D. (Ann) Moore of Fond du Lac; a
granddaughter, Elita T. Moore of Fond du Lac; a brother-in-law, Lyle Seehawer
of Oregon; and a sister-in-law, Verna Minzlaff of Marinette. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins,
and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; her husband, Dr. Lynas G. Moore on October 23, 2007; and brothers
and sisters: Agnes (Lewin) Gard, George (Pauline) Lundeen, Florence Minzlaff,
Clarence Minzlaff, Richard Minzlaff, Gert Seehawer, and infant Kenneth
Minzlaff.
The funeral service will be
held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Redeemer Lutheran Church,
606 Forest Avenue, Fond du Lac, with Rev. James Borgwardt officiating.
The visitation will be on Saturday
at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Burial will be in Glenwood
Memorial Gardens in Marinette, Wisconsin.
