Irwin Francis Whitty Jr.

Irwin Francis Whitty Jr. went to his heavenly home on April 14th at age of 85 in Winter Haven, FL.

He was born in Fond du Lac on April 27, 1937. The son of Irwin Martin and Gladys (nee Lloyd) Whitty.

Irwin was a 1955 graduate of Campbellsport High School. He served his country in the U. S. Army Reserves from 1955 until 1963. He worked at Weasler Engineering, West Bend as a Supervisor for 37 years, retiring in 1997.

He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, Eden. Irwin enjoyed being an Asst. Scout Master during the time his boys were growing up. He helped organize the Empire Thresheree and owned a 1948 Oliver Tractor which he gifted to his nephew Pat. He was a crew member of the Hot Air Balloon WI Dells Rally for 5 years. He enjoyed his retirement at his “Serendipity” in Big Flats, Wisconsin.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include two sons: Patrick Whitty (Jonelle Koffski) of Orange Park, FL and Keith (Karolina) Whitty of Beaver Dam, WI, goddaughter Becky Lynn of Colgate, nieces, nephews: Mary (Peter) Beyer of Mt. Calvary, Pat (Cathy) Whitty of Howards Grove, Brian Whitty (Carol Fisher) of Madison, and many other relatives and friends. Irwin was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: William “Bill” and Wayne Whitty, sister Mary Ellen Whitty, sister- in-law Jean Whitty, stepson Brian Moser and niece Kristine Whitty Rivera.  

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on May 4th at 11:00 AM at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, W1562 Hwy B Eden. The Rev. John Radetski will officiate with inurnment in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be at the CHURCH from 9:00 AM until time of Mass. Memorials are appreciated to Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church.
