Jacqueline Kathryn Vollmer
Jacqueline Kathryn Vollmer, 86, passed away peacefully with family at her side, on May 11, 2024, at St. Francis Nursing Home, Fond du Lac, WI.
She was born April 16, 1938 to Julius M. and Philomine A. (Birschbach) Hoepfner, in Fond du Lac, WI.
She married Glenn R. Vollmer on June 25, 1960 at St. Mary’s Church in Fond du Lac. Glenn passed away on April 1, 2004.
“Jackie” (called “Jill “by her parents and brothers) was a 1956 graduate of St. Mary’s Springs Academy and a 1959 graduate of St. Agnes School of Nursing (Marian University), Fond du Lac. From 1959 to 1961 and 1964 to 2003 she worked as a night nurse at St. Agnes Hospital, including 19 years as an assistant supervisor in the Emergency Room, and 19 years in Obstetrics.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Parish and St. Mary’s Springs Academy Girls. She enjoyed many years at “the cabin” in Coloma, WI.
She is survived by Ann (Andrew) Gratton of Oshkosh, WI, their 2 children: Andrea (David) School, Blaise Gratton; Jon (Mary) of Plover, WI, their 3 children: Brett (Becca), Brice (Maria), Blaine; and James (Debra) of Eldorado, WI, their 3 children Rebecca, Nicholas, and Eric; 4 great grandchildren; her siblings John (Laura) Hoepfner and Steven (Sue) Hoepfner; and a sister-in-law Sandra Hoepfner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother William Hoepfner, brother-in-law Gene Vollmer, and sister-in-law Carol (Vollmer) Fleischman.
The family wishes to extend a grateful THANK YOU to the staff of St. Francis Home, St. Francis Terrace Assisted Living, and to SSM Hospice Home of Hope.
Visitation for Jacqueline will be on Wednesday May 15, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E Division St in Fond du Lac and again on Thursday May 16, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the St. Francis Home Chapel, 33 Everett St in Fond du Lac. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at St. Charles Cemetery.
A memorial in Jacqueline’s name will be set up at a later date.
