Jeffery “Jeff” Michael Schingen

Jeffery “Jeff” Michael Schingen, age 60, of Ashland, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Tamarack Health Ashland Medical Center, in Ashland, Wi. He was born March 6, 1964, in Fond du Lac, WI, the son of Jerome and Bernardine (Clark) Schingen.

Jeff served his country in the United States Navy. Upon his discharge from the Navy he worked for US Chrome Corporation in Fond du Lac, the Hydrite Chemical Company in Oshkosh, and concluded his work career at Warehouse Specialists in Fond du Lac. Jeff and his fiancé spent time in Arizona but returned to Northern Wisconsin in 2019.

Jeff enjoyed raising and racing homing pigeons and was a member of the Fond du Lac Racing Pigeon Club. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, and being with his family.

Jeff is survived by his fiancé, Diane Gordon, two siblings, Jim (former sister-in-law Barb) Schingen of Fond du Lac and Judy (Brian Remmel) Schingen of Waukesha, two nephews, Justin and Jeremy (Katie) Schingen, two great nephews, Gavin and Maxwell Schingen and two great nieces, Alexa and Blakely Schingen, all of Fond du Lac, WI. Jeff is further survived by Diane’s children and grandchildren who he thought of and treated as his own, Todd Zohimsky (Enola Wilkes) Todd’s son Richard (RJ) and his mother Amber and Todd’s and Enola’s daughter Enika, all of Bayfield, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jeff’s family invites friends and relatives to a time of visitation at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 East Division Street, Fond du Lac, WI 54935. Military honors will follow visitation at 1:00 PM. Cremation has taken place.
