Jeffrey (Jeff) Paul Jones

Jeffrey (Jeff) Paul Jones, 66, of Waupun passed away at home on November 28th, 2023.

Jeff was born in Milwaukee to Clifford Jones and Joan (Piekarski) Jones on June 4, 1957. His family later moved to Waupun where Jeff would spend the remainder of his life.

He graduated from Waupun High School in 1975 and married his sweetheart Elizabeth (Lisa) Babler on January 28th, 1977. He worked at National Rivet and as a roofer before joining the state of Wisconsin at Dodge Correctional Institution, where he worked for over 30 years before retiring in 2015.

Jeff will be remembered as a hard working and humble man with a sharp wit that kept his family and friends endlessly entertained. He was a brilliant Jeopardy player and instilled his love of history in each of his children, often toting them to antique malls and flea markets in pursuit of treasures. He enjoyed traveling to visit extended family in Kansas and touring historical landmarks out west. Those trips will always be fondly remembered. He loved his family above all else and specifically adored his grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved wife Lisa; his 4 children Jacob (Christina) of Milwaukee; John (Vanessa) of Pine Island, MN; Jesse (Danielle) of Waupun; and Sarah (Vincent) Parenti of Dallas, TX; 15 grandchildren: Shane, Jessica, Alyssa, Evan, Addison, Teagan, Bennett, Liam, Carter (Alex), Benet (Marissa), Amelia, Sofia, and Lucia; sister Deborah (Kevin) Van Buren of Waupun, and brother Michael (Diane) of Janesville.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clifford (Joan) Jones.

Funeral services for Jeff Jones will be held Monday, December 4, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waupun with Fr. John Radetski officiating. Friends and relatives may call on the family from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
