Jennie Lee Davis
Jennie Lee Davis, 79, a resident of Fond du Lac, peacefully died on April 24, 2014 at ManorCare Health Services.
She was born September 27, 1934 in Fond du Lac, a daughter of the late Alvin F. and Jennie M. Oches Senger.
On September 9, 1951 she married Gerald F. Davis at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Fond du Lac.
Jennie attended St. Patrick’s Grade School and graduated from St. Mary’s Springs High School. She worked as a nursing assistant at Care Center East. Jennie later served with the visiting home health programs at St. Agnes Hospital and Waupun Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Holy Family Parish; attended St. Joseph’s Church and was a member of its Women’s Group. Jennie was an accomplished writer having published several poems, and receiving an award from the Fond du Lac City Council for her Valentines’ poem titled “Flags Past”. She also was recognized for the donation to the Fond du Lac Public Library of a book containing poems she had written.
Survivors include four sons, Michael Davis of Fond du Lac, Joel (Sandy) Davis of Kiel, Matthew (Kat) Davis of North Fond du Lac, and John (Lois) Davis of Pocola, OK, two daughters Debra Davis of CA, and Pam (Keith) Krebsbach of Fond du Lac, five grandchildren, Julie Ann Davis and Daniel Davis both of Fond du Lac, Krystal (Travis) Wick of Sheboygan, Ross Davis of Pocola, OK, and Dakota Davis of IL, six great-grandchildren, Hannah Tynan, Silas Davis, Jake Albertz, Gage Kester, Honor Kester, Jaden Wick, two great-great-grandsons, Michael and Gabriel Tynan.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald on February 27, 1988, a daughter-in-law, Rose Davis.
Visitation: The family will receive relatives and friends at Holy Family Parish Church, 277 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac, on Monday April 27, 2014, from 9:00 to 10:45 AM.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday April 27, 11:00 AM at Holy Family Parish Church. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials in her name may be directed to Holy Family Parish.
