Jerome Martin

Jerome Martin, 88, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, at the Manor at the Meadows of Fond du Lac. He was born on February 11, 1937, to his parents, Michael Ross and Edina (Baumgart) Martin.

Jerry graduated from Seymour High School, class of 1955. He married Verona Surman on September 12, 1959.

Jerry had a passion for community plays and spending time with his family camping. When his sons were growing up, he was an active member of the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed solving complex jigsaw puzzles. He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. Verona and Jerry were avid dancers, taking lesson and dancing any chance they had. Jerry was a member and proudly supported the charitable organization – The Telephone Pioneers of America. He was a loving and caring father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Jerry is survived by children, Jeff (Dawn) Martin, Lori (Jeff) Kuen, David Martin; grandchildren, Shannah Seyfert, Jamie Martin-Spaulding, Jessica Kuen, Kristyna Grider, Cassandra Stauber, Tyler Kuen; great-grandchildren, Ella, Harrison, Nora, Dayne, Mila, Sadie, Emmett, Theo; sister, Jean Aiken; he is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Verona; son, Steven Martin; his parents; and brothers, Tom Martin and John Martin.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 271 Fourth St Way, Fond du Lac. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM. Entombment will be at Calvary Mausoleum Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jerry’s name may be offered to Holy Family Catholic Parish or Telephone Pioneers of America.
