Joanne A. (Neisius) McDermott

Joanne A. (Neisius) McDermott left this earth for her heavenly home on July 30, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born July 6, 1937. On May 18, 1957 she married Royal R McDermott who together spent 58 years of marriage as best friends.

She is survived by her children, Elizabeth, Jane (Jim Keenan), Michael (Jennifer) and Mary (Tim Iwen). She was the proud grandma of Justin (Angelique), Joshua (Andrea), Brandon (Nichole), Nicholas (Amanda), Jessica, Lindsay, Jacob, Alaina and Jackson. She had 4 great grandchildren, Bradley, Leah, Easton and Krystynn. Her siblings were Joseph (Karen) and Susan. She was preceded in death by her parents Rudolph and Hazel, brother Baby Rudy and many other loved family members.

Joanne’s joy was spending time with her family at the numerous events of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. She loved playing cards, reading books, chocolate, travel, Nascar, the Green Bay Packers, going up north and a bottle of wine.

Her legacy was being the best wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, daughter, sister and friend to all who knew her as Chi Chi. To know her was to love to her. Everyone of us will remember what it was to be loved by her as well.

Visitation for Joanne A. McDermott will be on Monday, August 3, 2015 at Uecker Witt Funeral Home, 524 N Park Ave in Fond du Lac from 1pm to 4pm. There will be no service per Joanne’s request. Cremation has taken place.
