John D. Kunkle
John D. Kunkle, 63, of
Rosendale, was called to Heaven on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at home.
He was born on August 12,
1952, in Camp Pendleton, California, a son of Donald and Arlice Miller
Kunkle. John was a graduate of Rosendale
Union Free High School, Class of 1971.
On October 17, 1975, he
married Connie A. Frost at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac.
John was employed with
Alliance Laundry Systems of Ripon for 25 years, retiring in May of 2013.
He was a member of St.
Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Eldorado.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, the Green Bay Packers, and loved spending
time with his grandchildren. He
especially enjoyed World War II history and the War Birds at EAA.
He is survived by his wife,
Connie Kunkle of Rosendale; two children:
Jason (Dana) Kunkle of Fond du Lac and Sarah (Dan) Martin of North Fond
du Lac; four grandchildren: Shawn
Kunkle, Eli Martin, Nova Martin, and Weston Martin; his mother, Arlice Kunkle
of Rosendale; a sister, Deb Wilde of Rosendale; his mother-in-law, Velma Frost
of Lamartine; six brothers and
sisters-in-law: Barbara (David) Jahns of
Fox Lake, Lee (Sandy) Frost of Lamartine, Dan (Charlene) Frost of Waupun, Jack
Frost of Oakfield, Robert (Cindy) Frost of Lamartine, and Shelly (Mike) Smith
of Fond du Lac; and nieces and nephews.
John has joined his father
and other family members.
The visitation will be from
5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2015, at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel &
Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac, and on Monday at St. Peter’s Evangelical
Lutheran Church, N7987 Town Hall Road, Eldorado, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be
at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at church with Rev. Aaron Odya officiating.
Burial will be in Rosendale
Cemetery.
