Joseph P. Nadler

Joseph P. Nadler, age 71, of Chilton, died on Monday, January 8, 2024 at SSM Hospital in Fond du Lac.  He was born August 8, 1952, son of the late Anthony & Dorothy (Daun) Nadler.  He married Diane N. Wuenne on September 4, 1976 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg.

Joe began his working career at MB Company in Chilton. Then he took over his father’s fuel route, first working for Depies Oil Company, and then as an independent with Weber Oil Company for 20 years.

Joe had a passion to talk and would make friends anywhere. Hobbies early in life included summer months spent on a baseball field as an umpire or a coach and winter months spent deer hunting and sturgeon spearing.  Upon retirement, he expanded his love of pool in leagues and tournaments throughout the state.  As team captain at Dorn’s Bar for many years, he called Dorn’s his home table.

Christmas was Joe’s favorite holiday. Traditions were important to him, especially ones centered around food. He was well known for his sweet tooth and his love of ice cream.  Like his grandmother — a cup of coffee with something to dunk was his favorite.

Survivors include his wife: Diane; his children: Rebecca (Jeff) Nichols, Anthony Nadler and his significant other, Amanda; his grandchildren: Ava & Carl Nichols; his siblings: Mary (Glenn) Mueller, Antoinette (Bill) Habermann; and his siblings-in-law: Janice Nadler, Melvin Wuenne, Caroline (Terry) Tindall, Daryl (Sue) Wuenne, Shirley (Joe) Todor, & Scott (Beth) Wuenne. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother: John Nadler.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton with Dcn. Dennis Bennin officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Charlesburg.  A time of visitation will be held at the Wieting Family Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, January 15, 2024 and on Tuesday at the funeral home from 9:30 am until 10:45 am. At the time of the service, there will be a link available above for those wishing to watch a memorial video or see photos of the flowers and gifts given to the family.
