Josephine C. Peachy
Peachy, Josephine “Josie” C.
A loving mother and
grandmother, Josephine “Josie” C. Peachy, 101, of the town of Lamartine, went
to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 25, 2017.
One of 16 children, Josephine
was born on April 21, 1915, in Park Falls, the daughter of the late Delbert and
Helen (Mayleth) Tollard. On July 31, 1932, she married Edward Peachy at what
became the family farm in the town of Lamartine. Edward preceded her in death
on July 29, 1980.
Josephine was the oldest
living member of Lighthouse Christian Church in Fond du Lac. She drove school
bus for Oakfield Public Schools and Lighthouse Christian Church.
Josephine is survived by six
children, Charmayne (Mike) Gannon of Fond du Lac and their children, Patrick
(Pam) Gannon, Michael (Kay) Gannon, Kevin (Shelley) Gannon, Timothy (Kathleen)
Gannon and Mary (Bob) Mooney; Nettie (Joseph) Manzo of Sarasota, Florida and
their children, Carrie Wittchow, Janon Frei, Dana (Jeff) Swanson, Angela
(Barry) Ferguson and Randall Manzo; Patricia (the late Larry)VandeBerg of
Waupun and their children, Jacqueline (Mitch) Zolp, Scott (Lori) VandeBerg and
Stacey (Edward) Pasque; Richard (Donna) Peachy and their children, Brian
Peachy, Nate (Kathy) LaMotte, Jay (Mary) LaMotte, Melissa (Marty) Neis and
Melinda (Patrick) Sampson; Sharon Rickert of Fond du Lac; Debbie (Gary) Jensen
of Rosendale and their children, Christopher (Stephanie) Jensen and Jamey
(Brittney) Jensen; 46 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; her
brother, Donald (Marie) Tollard of Pine River, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents
and husband, Josephine was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Larry
VandeBerg; a grandson, Brian Gannon; two granddaughters, Jill Peachy and
Jessica Jensen and a great-granddaughter, Kristina.
VISITATION: Josephine’s
family will greet relatives and friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, January
27, 2017, at Lighthouse Christian Church, 401 S. National Avenue, Fond du Lac
and at the church on Saturday from 12:30-2:00 p.m.
SERVICE: A funeral service will
be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Lighthouse Christian Church with Rev.
Richard Balken officiating. Burial will follow in Rosendale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials
are appreciated to Lighthouse Christian Church.
