Lawrence J. “Larry” Shea

Lawrence J. “Larry” Shea, 80, of Saint Cloud, Wisconsin, passed away on September 11, 2023 at
St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin surrounded by family. He was born October 30,
1942 in Wisconsin to Joseph and Anna Marie (Schockmel) Shea.
Larry was a 3rd generation dairy farmer. He loved farming; it was his true passion in life right up
to the time of his passing. He had an incredible work ethic which he passed down to the next
generation of his family.
Anyone that knew Larry, knew how proud he was of his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids
who each had a special nickname. He wore his heart on his sleeve. He was a witty man who
always had a smart-ass comment and had words of wisdom for everybody (whether they were
welcome or not). You could always find Larry on the dance floor with his family, in the bleachers
with some popcorn watching basketball, and around the tree at Christmas with his family.
Larry always looked forward to his Friday night drives in the T-Bird with the love of his life Lynn
to Chissy’s for an old fashioned and a fish fry. Larry and Lynn would have celebrated their 59th
wedding anniversary on October 3rd this year.
Larry will be dearly missed by his wife Lynn; children Darin (Kathy) Shea, Kerrie (Jon) Schueffner,
Gavin Shea, Maggie (Jason) DeMars, and Michael Shea; grandkids Jenna (Jared) Lindsley, Megan
(Brad) Dean, Katelyn (Nate) Bowers, Clay Schueffner, Shania, Kiara, and Trevin Shea, Kayla, Niko,
and Mason DeMars; great grandkids Maverick, Jackson, Cooper, and Eli Dean, Emma and Riley
Lindsley, Aiden and Jason DeMars; siblings Denis Shea, Dorothy Matsche, Kathleen Mauk,
Sharon (Andrew) Failor, and Mary Jo (Gary) Hilbert; as well as other relatives and many friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Anna Marie, in-laws Mike and Marge
Gilboy, brother-in-law Carl Mauk, Sam Prasher, sister-in-law Marie Shea, nephew Patrick Shea,
and grandson Trent Schueffner.
Larry’s family invites relatives and friends to a time of visitation on Thursday, September 14,
2023 at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, W1562 Co Rd B, Eden, WI from 8:30 A.M. until
10:45 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 A.M. following the visitation.
Burial will take place in Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery in Armstrong.
Larry’s family would like to thank the team at St. Agnes Hospital and the First Responders who
helped care for Larry in his final days.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Trent Schueffner Memorial Fund at the Fond
du Lac Area Foundation or Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Parish.
