Lee Kauffman

Lee Kauffman, 79, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014, at St. Agnes Hospital.  

He was born on August 4, 1934, in Des Moines, Iowa, a son of Merle X. and Elizabeth Esther Winter Kauffman.

Lee was the owner of T.E. Ahern Men’s Clothing Store for nearly 20 years.   He loved spending time with his grandkids, attending baseball spring training, following college basketball, and playing a good game of pinochle. 

He is survived by his three children: Kim (Bradley) Dow of Springfield, Illinois, Karen (Jeffrey) Boelsen of Shoreview, Minnesota, and Kyle (Krista) Kauffman of Indianapolis, Indiana; nine grandchildren:  Aren and Adam Dow, Tyler and Austin Wiegert, Kirsten and Caitlin Boelsen, and Charles, Eleanor and Olivia Kauffman. 

Lee was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Don Lyle Kauffman; a sister, Gail Mae Kauffman; and his wife of 50 years, Leora Ann Nicks Kauffman.
