Lee Reindl
Lee Reindl, 81, passed away Friday, January 25th at Hospice Home of Hope from complications related to five years of suffering with cancer.
Lee was born in St. Kilian on July 28th, 1937, the son of Killian “Pat” and Amelia “Molly” Reindl.
Lee attended St. Lawrence Seminary and made friendships there he valued to his last day.
He married Cathy Serwe at St. Martin’s Church in Ashford in May, 1963 and enjoyed 55 years of marriage.
Lee worked for Kindt Lumber and Gehl Company, but his greatest professional pride was representing Grande Cheese Company for thirty years.
Lee loved sports and stayed involved as a WIAA referee (basketball & volleyball) for 54 years.
He also volunteered as an assistant coach for the Lomira High School golf team for the last 22 years until he became too sick to continue.
Lee is survived by his wife Cathy, a son Jeff (Julie) of Lomira and his siblings Richard (Rose) Reindl of Kewaskum, Harold Reindl of Milwaukee, his sister-in-law Lucy (Richard) Steinacker of Fond du Lac.
He is further survived by his loving nieces & nephews as well as five godchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law Veronica Ries, brother Al (Florence), sister Carol (Pat) Crowley, brothers-in-law Richard Steinacker & Alois Serwe, sisters-in-law Charlotte Reindl & Maryann Serwe and his niece Cheryl Serwe.
The family wishes to thank the loving team at Hospice Home of Hope for their tremendous care.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be directed to Lomira Golf or to the Lomira Area Education Foundation (LAEEF).
Private services will take place for the immediate family in the near future.
Lee strived to be a loving & kind person to everyone he met.
He was a wonderful husband and fantastic father; we were all lucky to be a part of his life.
The world won’t long dwell on his passing, but we will love & miss him forever.
