LeRoy Frances Baudry
LeRoy Frances Baudry, 93, of Eden entered into his eternal heavenly home on March 18, 2025 while residing at St Francis Home in Fond du Lac. He was born in Fond du Lac WI on December 7, 1931, son of George and Ruth (Allain) Baudry. He grew up on the family dairy farm near Eden, WI.
LeRoy attended grade school in a one-room schoolhouse in Marblehead and St. Joseph’s School 9th Grade in Fond du Lac. After graduation from the Fond du Lac High School in 1949, LeRoy was privileged to continue his passion taking over the farm which had been in continuous family ownership since 1848.
LeRoy would fondly reminisce when he met the love of his life, Carol Fenrich, at an Oshkosh Eagles dance and they later married on June 14, 1958 in Oshkosh, WI. They were blessed with five children who quickly realized valuable life qualities of perseverance, strong work ethic and being resourceful. LeRoy was endowed with farming in his heart enduring day-to-day challenges tending to cows, pigs and chickens as well as working on the land. He was gifted with a do-it-yourself attitude tackling projects requiring repair or building, especially with wood.
LeRoy was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Parish for many years and volunteered at parish picnics and dinners. He was supportive of his Catholic faith and believed in Catholic Education. LeRoy was a member of the Catholic Education Committee at St. Mary’s Eden for a number of years when it was first initiated.
In 1993, LeRoy and Carol decided it was time to start another chapter in their life moving to a house in the Village of Eden for the next 31 years. LeRoy pursued many jobs around their house including planting a huge garden, woodworking, and landscaping. He adapted his work ethic to help his son develop his business into what it is today. LeRoy enjoyed fishing, bird watching, and jigsaw puzzles as a pastime. Watching grandkids at sporting events was a favorite as well as tuning in to the Brewers, Packers, Badgers or Bucks.
LeRoy was a loving dad, grandpa and great grandpa and adored the time he spent with his family.
LeRoy will be greatly missed by his five children, Cindy (Gary) Krug of Oshkosh, Mary (Bob) Lyon of Oshkosh, JoAnn (Jim) Tart of Neenah, Tony Baudry of Eden, Renee (Mark) Wollersheim of Brownsville; eight grandchildren Jon (Bekka) Krug, Justin Krug, Nicole(Lawren) Helder, Matt (Christina) Lyon, Sean Lyon, Jeff Baudry, Collin Wollersheim, Elle Wollersheim; and five great grandchildren; sister Rosemary (Jerry) Detlaff, sister-in-law Patricia Fenrich, nieces, nephews and friends.
