Linda R. Schmidt

Linda R. Schmidt, 76, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at St. Agnes Hospital.

She was born on June 16, 1944, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Herbert H. and Florence G. Voegeli Bloedorn.  Linda worked as a nurse’s aide for over 41 years, 5 years were at St. Agnes in the maternity ward and 36 years were at Maple Manor.  She enjoyed taking care of people, which turned into life-long friendships.  She loved spending time with her family, her grandchildren were the light of her life.  She also had a great love for all animals.

She is survived by her children: Douglas Schmidt of Fond du Lac, Gary Schmidt of Oshkosh and Christine (special friend Brian Breister) Skupas of Fond du Lac; her grandchildren: Zachery Schmidt of Oshkosh, MaKenna Schmidt of Fond du Lac, Brian Skupas of Fond du Lac and Tyler Skupas of Fond du Lac.  She is also survived by her second family, The Whittakers.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Donald Bloedorn and Robert Bloedorn.

VISITATION: Friends may call on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 10:00 – 1:00 PM at Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory.  Due to the current mandate, masks are required for those in attendance.

SERVICE: Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Kurki Funeral Chapel & Crematory, with Chaplain Karen Kraus officiating. Inurnment will be at Estabrooks Cemetery.
