Lorraine Ann Werner
Lorraine Ann Werner, 83, of
Fond du Lac, died on December 16th, 2014 at the Kindred Hearts Care
Home of natural causes.
She was born April 20, 1931 in
Green Lake County and she was the only daughter of Gilbert Emil Roeder and Anna
Bertha Miller. She graduated from Ripon High School in 1949, and was
formerly married to Harold H. Hein, of Ontario, Canada, and Elmer Werner, who
preceded her in death in 2008.
Lorraine was an office
secretary at Alliance Laundry in Ripon, Wisconsin and later was a full-time
mother. Lorraine loved animals all of
her life and took in stray animals for pets.
For several years she had a kennel license to raise pure-bred collie
dogs. She also played piano and
accordion. For a while she played and
sang in a polka band. But her main
priority was faithfully providing food, shelter and care for her five children.
Lorraine is survived by five
children and their respective families; Randall Hein of Fond du Lac, Deborah
Wilson of Fredonia, David Hein of Ripon, Joe Hein of Oakfield, and Thomas Hein
of Wautoma. Lorraine was also the grandmother of six and the
great-grandmother of eight.
Services:
A memorial service for family members and friends will be held on Saturday, January
3rd, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Reformed Church, 163 18th
Street, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Lorraine
will be laid to rest next to her mother and father at Woodlawn Cemetery in
Ripon, Wisconsin.
