Lorraine D. Mitchell
Lorraine D. Mitchell, 75, of Oakfield,
died on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at St. Agnes Hospital.
She was born on June 10,
1942, in Horicon, WI, the daughter of Sylvester and Viola (Seegert) Sauer. She graduated from Horicon High School, Class
of 1960. On January 7, 1983, she married
Richard Mitchell.
Lorraine worked for Miles
Kimball for fifteen years and then worked at Walmart for eight years, retiring
in 2008. She enjoyed attending her
granddaughter Kaitlyn’s basketball game whenever she was able to, doing crossword
puzzles, watching Packer and Badger games, and most of all she enjoyed going to
The Fireside. She was a member of Hope
Lutheran Church for most of her life.
She is survived by her
husband of 35 years Richard Mitchell, of Oakfield, her daughter, Faith Kirchoff
of Oakfield and her children Ashley (Marty) Mitchell of Beaver Dam, Kyle and
Kaitlyn Kirchoff of Oakfield; her son, Geoffrey (Paula) Becraft and their
children, Benjamin and Hannah of Minnesota; her brother, Clifford (Mary) Sauer
of Endeavor, WI; five step-children: Jeff (Tawnia) Mitchell of Princeton,
Robert (Darlene) Mitchell of Waupun, Charles Mitchell of Waupun, Sue (Steve)
Metz of Waupun and Kris (Rob) White of Cedarburg; fifteen step-grandchildren
and four step great-grandchildren. She
is further survived by her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joan (Terry)
Collien, Mary Lou (Robert) England, Thomas (Teri) Mitchell and Shirley (Fred)
Willis and one step-brother-in-law, Dennis (Sherry) Wittkopf, many nieces and
nephews, and her furry friend “Buddy”.
She was preceded in death by
her parents, her in-laws John Mitchell, step-mother-in-law Faith Mitchell and
mother-in-law Florence Wittkopf, her brother and his wife Delmar and Helen
Sauer, an infant brother and one step-grandson Ryan Mitchell.
VISITATION: Friends may call
on Thursday, April 19, 2018, from 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church,
260 Vincent Street, Fond du Lac.
FUNERAL: Funeral services
will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church,
with Rev. Mark Wilkens officiating.
Burial will follow in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
