Marion Flood

Marion Flood, 98, completed her long life on January 18, 2024, at Hospice Home of Hope surrounded by family. In good times and through life’s challenges, she was strengthened by her faith in God and blessed by the love and care of her family.

Marion was born in the Town of Forest on August 30, 1925, the daughter of the late Walter and Irma (Lueck) Schiefelbein. She married Jerry Flood on September 7, 1946 at St. Mary’s Rectory in Eden, WI.

In 1952 Marion and Jerry purchased her parent’s family farm. It was there they raised their family. When it was time for retirement, the farm was sold to their son Pat and his wife Nancy. In her early years, she was employed at Eden Canning Factory, Rueping Leather and was also a personal caregiver for the elderly. After retiring from the farm, Marion still enjoyed walking down to help with chores twice a day. She also enjoyed puzzles, playing sheepshead, watching the Brewers and the Packers. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her family, going to her children and grandchildren’s concerts, plays, and sporting events.

Marion is survived by her children Karen (Mark) Thrall, Linda (Jim) Kraus, Patrick (Nancy), Timothy (Cathy), Robert (Jean), Joseph (Cheryl), Peter (Suzie) and Janet (Terry) Klahn; 21 grandchildren Jennifer (Brian) Arndt, Jeremy (Gina) Thrall, Amy (Lee) Zimmerman, Lori (Mark) Lisowe, Cindy (Greg) Hahn, Julie (Matt) Lefeber, Gary (Sarah) Kraus, Brad (Jaime) Flood, Tina (Luke) Behling, Carrie (Zach) Sand, Jacob Flood (fiancée Shannon Dwyer), Angela (Josh) Fischer, Megan Flood, Mary Flood, Paul Flood (Katie Lotz), Tracey (Matt) Golden, Amber Engle, Ashley (Nate) Macchia, Taylor (Tim) Thornton, MacCrea Flood, and Brett Flood; 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, Roland (Clara) Schiefelbein, a sister Joanne (Bob) Ahrens, brother-in-law Vernon (Gladys) Flood, sisters-in-law Jane (Darwin) Tonn, Bernice (Bob) Majerus, a great-granddaughter Jade Thrall, and grandson-in-law Josh Engle.
