Mark A. Rauls

Mark A. Rauls, 70, of Middleton, WI, passed away on June 21, 2024, in Fond du Lac, WI.

A celebration of life in honor of Mark will be held on July 21, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Middleton Fire Station.

Mark was born in Madison, WI to Lloyd and Joan Rauls on February 1, 1954. He attended James Madison Memorial High School in Madison. On July 7, 1973, he married Pamela Pfister of Madison. Mark worked as a mechanic for Monona Tire and then as a supervisor at Scientific Protein Lab where he helped enact many safety initiatives and protocols. He retired from SPL at age 65. For over 35 years, Mark served the Middleton Fire Department working as a volunteer EMT and firefighter. He obtained certifications in multiple rescue operations and regularly took classes that allowed him to better serve the department. Mark was promoted to Chief in 1996. An outdoorsman at heart, he enjoyed rock climbing in his younger years and more recently trap shooting and prairie dog shooting. Mark looked forward to the annual deer camp with his sons and siblings. He also enjoyed traveling. But most of all, Mark loved spending time with family, especially at the annual weekend-long family camping reunion in the summer.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Joan Rauls, and his brother Tim Rauls.

Mark is survived by his wife Pam; son Ben (Kourtney) of Fond du Lac, WI, and son Tye (Danielle) of Edgerton, WI; sister Karen Watson (Tim) of Waunakee, WI, sister-in-law Marla Rauls of Hancock, WI, brother Mike (Marianne) of Prairie du Sac, WI, and brother Tom (Lisa) of Beavercreek, Ohio; granddaughter Faith and grandsons Landen and Brayden, and many other much loved family members.

Memorials may be given to the Middleton Fire Department or Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.
