Mark J. Nelson

Mark J. Nelson, 63 of Fond du Lac, passed away at his home April 9, 2025. He was born March 15, 1962 in Fond du Lac, the son of Richard and Theresa Nelson. He graduated from Goodrich High School in 1982.

Mark lived and worked in Fond du Lac as a chauffeur for Edith’s Bridal and as a school crossing guard. He enjoyed cheering for his Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and Badgers. He attended Super Bowl XXXI in New Orleans.

Mark is survived by his brother Rick and sister Karen, cousins Christine, Steve, Dave and Maynard. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Theresa.

Cremation has taken place and the family is working on a memorial for Mark. Zacherl Funeral Home is serving the family.

Rick and Karen would like to thank Mark’s care team from Lakeland Care and the ladies at the SSM Health Adult Day Services for their care of Mark. He spoke often of you.
