Marlene M. (Reilly) Hatch

Marlene M. (Reilly) Hatch, age 83 entered into eternal life on November 12, 2024 at Hospice Home of Hope. She was born June 18, 1941 to Leo and Fern (Ziegert) Reilly in the Town of Eden. She graduated from St. Mary Springs Academy, and attended Marian College. On April 8, 1961 she married Robert H. Hatch at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eden. They celebrated 57 years of marriage. Marlene  was employed in banking for 25 years. Her family was her life, and she enjoyed spending time with them, especially her “Fabulous Five” grandchildren. Education was of the utmost importance to her, and she made sure all of her children graduated from college and encouraged her grandchildren to do the same. Her favorite hobbies included reading, spending time on her iPad, playing word games, going for walks and aquatic exercise. Marlene enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and golf tournaments. Chocolate was her favorite food group! Her favorite vacation places were Door County with her family in the summer, and Okaloosa Island, Florida with Bob in the winter.  Marlene was a member of St. Matthew’s Church in Campbellsport and the Christian Women Society. 

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory include her children. Robert L. (Tammy) Hatch, William J. “Bill” (Laurie) Hatch, Mary K. (Tim) Lueck. and Julie (Mike) Hewitt. Her grandchildren Craig (Kim) Hatch, Holly (Cody) Weiland, Kaylin, Kendra, and Sienna Hewitt. Three great grandchildren Nora, Adelyn, and Vivian Weiland. Step grandchildren Adam (Arlene) Spanbauer, Rachel (Joseph) Stewart, and Kim (Samuel) Coman, and 12 step great grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother Dick Reilly (Billie Jo), sister Joan Buerger, sisters-in-laws, Betty Sook, Joyce Halfmann, Judy (Doug) Christensen, Faye, (David) Schmitt.

She was preceded on death by her dear husband Bob, her parents Leo and Fern Reilly, in-laws W. Robert and Beatty Hatch, sister Beatrice Smith, brothers-in-law Jack Smith, William Buerger, Ellis Sook, Richard Halfmann, Carl Akers, and sister-in-law Donna Akers.  A very special niece, Christine Buerger Sitter awaits her arrival in heaven.  

Visitation will be Saturday, November 16th from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church 406 E. Main St. Campbellsport, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm. Rev. Mark Jones will officiate and entombment will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park, N6250 County Rd. K, Fond du Lac. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Matthew’s Catholic Church or the charity of your choice. 

The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and staff of the Hospice Home of Hope for Marlene’s wonderful care in her final days.
