Marlin L. Towne

Marlin L. Towne, 91, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Harbor Haven Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born June 9, 1932 in Fond du Lac, the son of Lyle and Ethel (Ewald) Towne. Marlin served in Korea with the U.S. Army 38 Scout Dog Platoon from 1952-1954. On June 18, 1955 he married Lois A. Wright at Division Street Methodist Church and she preceded him in death on December 22, 2017. He worked for Towne Construction for 25 years after which Marlin and Lois owned and operated Pagel Flowers for 26 years until their retirement in 2002. He attended Trinity Methodist Church in Lomira. He was an active member of Kiwanis of Fabulous Fond du Lac where he received Kiwanian of the Year four times. Marlin enjoyed woodworking and reading.

He is survived by two daughters, Pamela (William) Vaughan of Fond du Lac and Lisa (Todd) Lehner of Lomira; eight grandchildren, Keeley (Joe) Cole, Nicole (Derek) Dittberner, Zachary (Emily) James, Joshua (Yarely) Towne, Benjamin (Stephanie) Lehner, Dakota (Laura Warning) Vaughan, Colton (Becca Skultety) Vaughan, and Emma (Duncan Corbin) Towne; six great grandchildren, Ryder, Jaxton, Oliver, Keanna, Elias, and Flynn; his niece, DeLayne (Michael) Krentz and their sons, Nolan and Geoffrey; special friends, Linda (David) Schell and their daughters, Jennifer, Melissa, and Tiffany; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lois; son, Douglas Towne; and sister, Joyce (Gaylord) Schroeder.

The visitation will be held Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 11, 2023 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
