Mary Angela Retzleff
Mary Angela Retzleff, 92, of Fond du Lac, with her family at her side, met her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
Mary Angela was born in Fond du Lac on May 9, 1932, a daughter of the late Henry and Dorothy (Butz) Simon.
On September 30, 1950, Mary Angela Simon married Roger Retzleff at St. Mary’s Church, Fond du Lac.
She graduated from St. Mary’s Springs. She was a member of Catholic Knights and Holy Family Parish.
She was a devoted Mary Kay Consultant and sold Mary Kay cosmetics for 40 years! She made the BEST turkey dressing. She loved outdoor activities including bird watching, camping, gardening, and tending to her many flowers and plants. She had an amazing green thumb even though her favorite color was purple! She enjoyed casino trips, traveling, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends.
Her outgoing personality and joyful spirit drew everyone to her.
Mary Angela was the beloved wife of Roger for 61 years; the loving mother of Eileen (Max) Luna, Barbara Collien (special friend Terry Duley), Patty (Bill) Brandt, and Phil Gabathuler; wonderful grandmother to 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her devoted husband Roger, her beloved daughters Marilyn Norton and Karen Gabathuler, loving grandson Eric Luna, son-in-law Bob Norton, and many other loved ones.
