Mary Kay Fitzgerald
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mary Kay Fitzgerald, our beloved mom, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Mary was born July 12, 1942 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to Royal and Lorraine (Sprague) Fitzgerald.
Mary graduated from St. Patrick’s grade school and L.P. Goodrich High School. She worked at Wells Manufacturing for 50 years, acquiring many special lifetime friends. Her baking skills made her a very popular co-worker. She worked part time for 12 years at Grancare Nursing Facility, showering the elderly with hugs and kisses. She was a loving third grandmother to her nieces and nephews.
Mary is survived by her son Corey; sisters Sharon (Dan) Weinberger, Jackie Forester, Denise (Jack) Rasmussen, and brother Larry Fitzgerald. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, sister Gayle, brother-in-law Jerry Forester, and sister-in-law Mary Kelley Fitzgerald.
Mary’s family invites friends and relatives to a time of visitation on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Fond du Lac from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place following the visitation at noon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mary’s family would like to give a special thank you to the amazing staff at Adelaide Place for the wonderful care and love showed to Mary. We would also like to thank the Perspective nurses and hospice team for their wonderful care. You all were truly her angels throughout her journey to Heaven. Dementia took her body but she never lost her loving heart.
Our special Irish girl, we will meet you in Heaven!
