Michael Arthur Ketterhagen

Michael Arthur Ketterhagen died peacefully at his home in the early morning hours on December 12th, 2024, with his wife, Mary, at his side. Michael, amongst many things, was a Faithful servant to his God.

Michael’s life was filled with endless teaching and learning; as a Husband, Father, Professor of Theology at Marian University, Founder of the Fond du Lac Center for Spirituality and Healing, Yoga Teacher, and more. He was always eager to tell you more than you ever wanted to know due to his voracious love of spirituality, philosophy, and the meaning of life. Michael actively sought peace and justice; joy and thanksgiving; gratitude and love. One of his greatest wishes was that we will know our connection to the Divine.

His beloved family includes his wife of almost 55 years, Mary, their five children and their spouses and 15 beautiful grandchildren; Joshua & Sally (Bryce, Logan, Cole, Reid & Grady), Luke & Kourtney (Prakash & Mangala), Isaiah & Sara (Ady, Riley, Kinsley, & Tia), Anna & Phil (Lucian & Aurora), and Zachary & Crystal (Dante & Hugo).

Michael’s family will receive family and friends on Friday, December 20th, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 200 S. Peters Avenue, Fond du Lac from 9:00-10:30 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, followed immediately by the burial at Rienzi Cemetery. A luncheon to continue the celebration of Michael’s life will follow at the Stayer Center at Marian University.

Memorials may be directed to The Fond du Lac Center for Spirituality and Healing.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God” (Matthew 5:9)
