Michael Lewis Mann
Michael Lewis Mann, 70, of rural Mt. Calvary, WI, died Monday, May 22, 2023, of natural causes.
Mike was born August 1, 1952, in Fond du Lac, WI, to the late Duane “Bud” Mann and Audrey Evans Mann. He was a graduate of Goodrich High School. After graduation, he proudly served in the U. S. Army until 1974. Michael then obtained his business degree from UW-Oshkosh in 1979. Michael was an investment advisor for 33 years, retiring from Wells Fargo in 2014.
On April 11, 1987, he married Joyce Kraus, at St. John the Baptist Church, Johnsburg, WI. Michael was a member of Holy Family Catholic Community and was active in the Knights of Columbus; his faith was important to him.
Michael was a Fond du Lac Morning Rotarian for more than 30 years, served as president in 1995, and was a Paul Harris Fellow.
Michael had many talents and interests, including gardening, cooking, dog training, enjoying fine wine and beer, and all things Bavarian.
Michael is survived by his wife, Joyce; son Joseph (Emily) Mann, and one grandson Owen. He is further survived by his sister Susan (Bob) Pfeil of Winter, WI, 2 brothers Duane “Duey” (Lisa) Mann of Glen Burnie, MD, and Pat (Julie) Mann of Fond du Lac, WI, and brother-in-law, Timothy Bell as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bridget Bell.
Mike’s family invites friends and relatives to a time of visitation on Friday, May 26, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 200 S Peters Avenue, Fond du Lac. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place in St. Charles Cemetery.
