Michael W. Gohde
Michael Wesley Gohde, 21, of Fond du Lac, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2021 with his best friend by his side, Dakota Goldapske, due to a fishing accident. Michael was born August 31, 1999 to Michael and Sheri (Van Pelt) Gohde.
Michael attended the Friendship Learning Center and graduated from Horace Mann High School in 2017, where he played football, soccer and wrestled.
Michael was a big Chicago sports lover. He loved playing soccer with his friends. Michael loved his dogs, Niko and Oliver and his chicken, Rosita. He had the most wonderful zest for life and showed it by “creative dancing” for his friends.
Michael’s spirit was beautiful. He was a giving and gentle young man, who cared about making others feel special, loved and appreciated.
Michael is survived by his parents, Michael and Sheri; sisters, Jenifer Gohde and Jessica (Hannah) Gohde; brother, John Cetnar and godson, Nikolas Gohde.
Michael was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Nicholas, grandparents John and Mary Van Pelt and Edward and Patricia Gohde and aunt Collette Gohde.
In lieu of flowers, the Gohde family would appreciate memorials to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Michael’s name.
SERVICES: Michael’s family invites relatives and friends for a time of visitation to Ascension Lutheran Church, 901 County Road V, Fond du Lac, on Thursday, April 8th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A Celebration of Michael’s life will take place at 2:30 PM at the church.
