Mildred “Milly” Pucker O’Neil

Mildred “Milly” Pucker O’Neil, 94, of Fond du Lac, died on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at her home.

She was born December 17, 1929, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, a daughter of Albert and Irene Garb Pucker. Milly married Charles O’Neil on April 16, 1947, at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Rogersville.

She worked as a homemaker, farmer, and factory worker. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Women of the ELCA and Mercury Marine Retirees Club. Milly enjoyed gardening, baking, reading, doing word puzzles, playing cards, sewing and quilting for missions, and volunteering at her church. However, her greatest interest was her special relationship that she shared with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by four children: Diane O’Neil of Fond du Lac, Peggy Beuthin of Ripon, Dale (Jackie) O’Neil of New Berlin, and Faye Gokey of Fond du Lac; eight grandchildren: Lisa Beuthin, Jonathan (friend Sally) Beuthin, Amy (friend Mike) Shepro, Scott (Angela) Dowidat, Nathan (Whitney) Butz, Christine (Scott) Compton, Jim Gokey and Mike Gokey; nine great grandchildren: Zachary Shepro, Samuel Shepro, Dorian Beuthin, Johnathan Dowidat, Claire Dowidat, Kailey McAdams, Morgan Butz, Natasha (Walter) Olson, Kayla Compton; 3 great-great grandchildren: Aviana, Ryder and Lola Olson; her sister Mavis Liedke of Crivitz. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons-in-law: James Gokey and David Beuthin; a brother Gordon (Alice) Pucker, two brothers-in-law: Jack Liedke and Arlyn (Lucille) O’Neil; three sisters-in-law: Doris O’Neil, Mary (Frank) Kluza, and Carol (Eldon) Potratz.

VISITATION: The family will greet friends and relatives from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 25 2024 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, N5680 Towne Road, Rogersville.

SERVICE: Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, with Rev. Kimberly Stowell officiating. Burial will follow at Rogersville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to SSM Health Hospice, Project Comfort – the quilt mission of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, or a charity of your choice.
