Milton C. Krug

On Friday, August 2, 2024 Milton C. Krug, age 83, of rural Fond du Lac, “Dotyville”, was called peacefully to eternal rest at the Hospice Home of Hope. He was born June 13, 1941 to Clarence and Viola (Miller) Krug. He attended Goodrich High School, and following graduation enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Structural Mechanic. Milt went on three deployments with his squadron In the Western Pacific.

Following his service, Milt returned to his hometown and married the love of his life, Susan Hahn on May 7, 1966 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Dotyville. Working as a carpenter, Milt built their home in Dotyville and they raised their family there. He later started his own construction company and built many homes in the area.

Milt’s life was centered around his faith, his family, and service. He served the Lord and his community in many ways. He was a little league baseball coach, an usher, church trustee, and Holy Name Society member. He also served on the honor guard and later as chaplain for American Legion Post 454, Mt. Calvary.

Milt enjoyed attending sports events, woodworking, camping, anything to do with aviation (he had his private pilot’s license), photography, and everything to do with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory include: three children: Jeff (Giuli) Krug of Belton, TX, Heather (Larry) Koffman of Campbellsport, and Angela (Matt) Scodellaro of Vienna, VA; eight grandchildren: Gabriel, Sophia, Eliana (Tim), Samuel, Jacob, Thomas, Vincent and Joseph; his siblings: Shirley Wild (nee Krug), and Donald Krug; his sisters-in-law Mary Jo Willis (nee Hahn), and Olga Hahn; nieces, nephews, and cherished friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue, of 55 years; his parents; in-laws Edwin and Helen Hahn; brother Herbert Krug; sister and brother-in-law Jeanne (nee Hahn) and Orv Tabbert, and brother in-law John Hahn.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at the Fond du Lac Cancer Center and SSM Health Hospice Home of Hope for their care and compassion.

Visitation: Family and friends may visit with the family Tuesday, August 13th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave., Fond du Lac and on Wednesday, August 14th from 10:00 AM until time of Mass at Shepherd of the Hills Church, 1562 County Road B, Eden.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, August 14th at 11:00 AM at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, W1562 County Road B, Eden. Rev. Mark Jones will officiate and burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery.
