Monica A. Schmitz

Monica A. Schmitz, age 93, of Chilton, died on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Willowdale Health & Rehabilitation Center in New Holstein.  She was born November 2, 1929, daughter of the late William & Regina (Schmitt) Rolf.  She married Bill Schmitz and the couple resided in Chilton where they raised their daughter.  

Monica began her working career for Western Industries which later became Chilton Metal Products.  She continued to work there until her retirement at the age of 65.  

She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, and appreciated time spent treating herself to a shopping trip where she would find new outfits, purses or pieces of jewelry.  

Survivors include her siblings: Larry Rolf, Janice Goeser, Lila Lefeber & Sue Rolf.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Bill; her daughter: Sandy; and her siblings: Ronnie, Dennis, Robert, Allen, Luke, David & Gerald Rolf, and Rose Dickrell.

Private services are being held and she will be laid to rest at Knollwood Mausoleum with her husband and daughter.
