Nancy C. Abig
Nancy C. Abig, 81, passed away at Harbor Haven Health and Rehabilitation on January 19, 2024. She was born in Fond du Lac on February 3, 1942 to the late Richard and Dorothy (Jaeger) Paige.
Nancy graduated from Fond du Lac High School.
Nancy married Richard Abig on October 28, 1961 in Fond du Lac at St. Louis Catholic Church.
She owned and operated Little People Day Care in South Fond du Lac from 1980 to 1986. Nancy’s passion in life was helping and teaching children in daycare and preschool throughout her life. She also enjoyed arts, crafts and puzzles.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard; sons Robert (Diane) and Joshua (Nicole); and grandchildren Blake, Alexandria, Jackson and Lyla. She is further survived by sisters Dianne Smith and Mary (Gerald) Giese, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her sons Randall “Randy” and Richard “Ricky, sister Patricia “Patty” McClone and brothers-in-law Peter Smith and Jerome McClone.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial in Nancy’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
A visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Saturday, January 27th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.at Zacherl Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow. Nancy will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery near Randy and Ricky.
