Nancy Celichowski

Nancy Celichowski, 80, of Germantown and formerly of Fond du Lac, passed away on January 24, 2026. She was born on April 13, 1945, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Roger and Virginia (Zeimet) Durant.

On July 12, 1969, she married Richard Celichowski at St. Peter Catholic Church in Oshkosh. Nancy was a graduate of Lourdes Academy High School and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh (then Wisconsin State College Oshkosh) with a degree in Education.

Nancy taught second grade at Pier Elementary School in Fond du Lac and loved teaching and the time spent with her students. She always treasured when former students stopped her around town to update her on their lives. She was a member of Holy Family Congregation in Fond du Lac and attended Mass at Sacred Heart Church.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She treasured the vacations taken with family and friends, whether it be to Disney World, Washington DC, or visiting friends in Florida. She served as a Den Mother for her sons’ Cub Scout troops and volunteered at many school functions. She loved attending her children’s and grandchildren’s school and sports activities.

Survivors include her three sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Bridget Celichowski of Chattanooga, TN, Steve and Stacy Celichowski of Germantown, and Mark and Callie Celichowski of Grand Rapids, MI; her six grandchildren, Qynn and Ashlyn Celichowski, Chattanooga, TN, Camden Celichowski, Oshkosh, Chase Celichowski, Germantown, and Parker and Landon Celichowski, Grand Rapids, MI; a brother, Jeff (Patty) Durant, Lake Geneva, one sister-in-law Joan (Steve) Suhm, Oshkosh; two brothers-in-law Robert (Barbara) Celichowski, St. Paul, MN and Terry Loker, Oshkosh; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Richard; her parents, Roger and Virginia Durant; her father -in-law and mother -in-law, Joseph and Rose Celichowski; her sister Gail Loker; Oshkosh; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Marlyn and Norm Herrle; and two nephews, Brad Celichowski and Jeffry Blahnik.

Services: Cremation has taken place and a private burial will be held by the family at Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh. Friends and family are invited to an open house celebrating Nancy’s life on February 21, 2026 between 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm at Fox River Brewing Co., 1501 Arboretum Drive, Oshkosh, WI.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to The Alzheimer’s Association.
