Nancy Lee Porath
Nancy Lee Porath, 82, passed away at home on December 7, 2024. She was born May 10, 1942 to the late Leroy and Amy (Markowski) Sommers in Fond du Lac.
Nancy graduated from Goodrich High School in 1960. She married Michael Porath in 1962.
Nancy worked a number of different jobs here and there, but her primary role was homemaker. She volunteered a lot at the hospital and Edgewood Community Church. Nancy was very involved with her card club, which started during her high school years and continues today. She loved golf and was proud of the hole-in-one she achieved at age 70 at Rolling Meadows Golf Course.
Nancy loved her grandchildren very much and was an awesome mom, mother-in-law and grandmother. She was a family-oriented woman and attended many of her grandchildren’s events. She had a great sense of humor and had the ability to make everyone smile who met her.
Nancy is survived by a son Anthony (Melissa) Porath and daughter Julie (Kevin) Ebertz; grandchildren Sam (Tori) Porath, Leah Porath, Ben Porath, Trevor (Karlee) Ebertz, and Paige (fiancé Travis White) Ebertz and three great grandchildren Baylor, Brynnlee and Beckham. She is further survived by a sister Jackie (Dale) O’Neil.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Michael and sister Sandy.
SERVICE: Nancy’s family invites relatives and friends to Zacherl Funeral Home on Sunday, December 15th for visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM.
