Rachel Leah Biertzer
Rachel Leah Biertzer (Seibel), 46, passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer at her home in Fond du Lac, WI, on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Rachel was born on April 11, 1978, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Paul and Bonnie (Will) Seibel. She was baptized at St. Paul’s Lutheran and was a graduate of Winnebago Lutheran Academy, Class of 1996. On July 28, 2001, she married the love of her life, Robbie Biertzer, at St. Paul’s Lutheran in Mount Calvary. After graduating from Moraine Park Technical College, she worked as a Correctional Officer at Washington County Jail before joining the Fond du Lac County Jail in 2002, where she served as a Staff Sergeant for 23 years.
Rachel was a devoted wife to Rob and a loving mother to Alexus (Joshua Rost), Ella (Josh Roloff), and Owen Biertzer. She found immense joy in spending time with her family and was always their biggest supporter. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering love will be dearly missed.
Rachel found true joy in spending weekends up north at her second home, surrounded by her beloved family and many dear friends. It was her happy place, where laughter filled the air and memories were made around the campfire. She had a passion for rummage sales, always on the hunt for the best deals, turning each find into a treasure. No matter the season, Sundays were reserved for cheering on the Green Bay Packers with a Kessler Old Fashioned in hand. She never missed a game, and if you listened closely, you could always hear her passionately yelling at the TV—celebrating victories and agonizing over tough plays. When she wasn’t watching football, she could be found outside playing Can-Jam, Crazy Cribbage, and Cornhole, always bringing her competitive spirit and plenty of laughs to every game. Her energy and love for life were contagious, leaving an unforgettable mark on everyone around her.
She is further survived by her parents, Paul and Bonnie (Will) Seibel; her three sisters, Anita (Rick) Gierach and their son Nathan Rost, Julie (Henry) Meinert and their children Delaney and William, and Lisa (Timothy) Schneiter and their son Logan. She is also survived by her father- and mother-in-law, Michael and Sheila Biertzer; grandmother-in-law, Darleen Rochwite; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Derec (Pamela) Biertzer and their children Meghan, Alyssa, and Kendall; Matthew (Sara) Biertzer and their children Melanie, Rileigh, Aleisha, and Dakota; and Stephanie (Brent) Retzlaff and their children Isabelle and Randon. Rachel’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering love touched the lives of so many. She leaves behind a countless number of friends and extended family who will forever cherish her memory.
Rachel was preceded in death by her grandparents.
