Robert Gysbers

Robert Gysbers, 84, of Waupun, died in his sleep Saturday evening, December

28, 2013 at The Christian Home.

Robert was born May 10, 1929 in Waupun, the son of George and Mabel Landaal Gysbers. He married Harriet Kaschube on June 17, 1950. Bob graduated from Waupun High School in 1947 and Ripon College in 1951. He worked at Gysbers Supermarket, starting with deliveries at age 12, and was active in the business until he was 74. Bob continued to operate Waupun West Shopping Center until his death. Bob was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He liked to hunt, loved

to read, and garden.

Bob is survived by his sister, Marge; his brother, Norm; three daughters; sons-in-law; and seven grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet.

Funeral services for Robert Gysbers will be held Friday, January 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waupun with Rev. Rolf Amundsen officiating. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
